Hailey Leithauser

Short, Sweet

The moon
has slipped
off her slip,
the night let
sail his ship
and you true
love of all
my bones,
like this
clear dew
that shines
the lawn
shall now
on a dime be
gone.

Hailey Leithauser is the author of Swoop (Graywolf 2013).  Her poem in the Spring ’14 issue of 32 Poems was selected for Best American Poetry 2015.  She has new work forthcoming in AGNI, Antioch Review, and FIELD.
