Good Reads

Last night, I invited a bunch of people to join me on Good Reads. My friend, EF, once wrote some of us an email to ask for good book recommendations. She was tired of reading books on how to get a baby to sleep more than 3 hours in a row.

We sent our suggestions to her and each other. Unfortunately, I do not have a good way to keep track of books I want to read. I probably read one of the suggested books before I accidentally deleted the email with the list.

Enter Good Reads. I was invited to join by two friends. Once I got into the site, I started to add books and get ideas on what to read from other friends on the site.

This web site is sheer viral marketing genius. In one day, I already have 16 friends. That means, I got roughly 16 people to sign up. Each of them will get some people to sign up and on and on. If you have not heard about this site, you will soon.

One fellow blogger I invited to join already added 132 books. As I was adding books last night, my page would refresh and I’d see she’d added 10 more.

A friend of mine is reading books I’ve read or want to read while the blogger poet is reading books I would *never* read on my own and therefore want to check out for curiosity. I like the potential to discover titles I’d not gravitate to on my own. Visit Good Reads if this interests you.
