Need a Proofreader for Your Book or Writing?

When it came time for me to prepare my manuscript for the publisher, I wanted to send a manuscript that was as perfect as I could get it.

Let’s face it.

I’d read each of these poems at least 100 times. I was no longer a fresh set of eyes. We all know that it gets harder to proofread a document if you’ve read it 100 times.

I immediately turned to a trusted source and one of the best editorial professionals I know for proofreading help on Midnight Voices. I highly recommend her if you need help. She’s a little internet shy, so she doesn’t want her name on my blog. If you need her assistance, shoot her an email and you can discuss the project.

Here’s a description of how she works:

“Proofreading” means different things to different people. Many think of it as looking over the text with an eagle eye and correcting minor editorial issues and “surface errors” like misspellings or punctuation problems. Traditional proofreading compares two manuscripts to ensure that all prior edits have been incorporated into the current version. I can do either or both to help you polish your manuscript. After talking with you about your specific needs, I’ll work on a paper or electronic copy of your manuscript.

I respect your work and your voice. I won’t change your language, but I may ask questions about things only you can decide. I use a light hand and make sure your work reflects your own voice. If you have questions about how I work or if you’d like to discuss your manuscript, please contact me at editorial.professional@gmail.com.
