@ Eric — The magazines should arrive this week. Then, I’ve got to hurry to get them sent out.

@Serena — It’s not too late! You could do a half NaPoWriMo. Do you want the NaPo or the WriMo?

This is my first year participating in NaPoWriMo and it has been and continues to be a great experience. The fact that I don’t have time to think about what I am writing (or have written) has led me into new territory. As Bernadette said above, I too look forward to going back to these many lines in the coming months.

P.S. – I am looking forward to receiving my first issue of 32 Poems soon (I hope)!

I’m up to poem #20 this month and feeling good. You method is similar to mine, except I have not even gone back to type the poems up on the computer yet. I like forgetting about them for a month and then returning to them. I looked back at the poems I wrote for last year’s NaPoWriMo and was amazed at the topics I incorporated.

One of the poems I wrote during last year’s NaPoWriMo is in the new issue of The Evansville Review. It was based on a newspaper article I read about a colony of fire ants that had taken over a Buddhist temple. I’ve used several newspaper/magazine stories as inspiration this year.

I’m definitely looking forward to the editing process in the months to come…
