Which is Your Favorite 32 Poems Cover?

March 1, 2008

Usually, I keep the cover of 32 Poems a big, dark secret until it shows up in your mailbox.

Dirk Fowler, the cover artist, designs gig posters for the likes of Jeff Tweedy, Wilco and Loretta Lynn.

This time, I’m not keeping the cover a secret. In fact, I want your help to decide which one.

What do you think?

All three are good but I prefer the top one.

All three are wonderful. I’d go with the 2nd or 3rd as being just a bit more
eye-catching than the first.

I prefer the third… it tantalized my eyes more than the others.

I dig the first one.

I prefer the top one–the illustration pops, there’s more contrast. To me.

I like the first one, too!

I like the first one. The others look too gaudy. I like the faded look of the first one.

Definitely the second one. That red/orange just pops!

I’d go with red orange 2. That’s the sharpest one.
Great graphic. Very nice.

#1 pops and #3 soothes. I’m torn between the two. I love them both!!

Just to keep things interesting…the third one without a doubt!

#1. The illustration stands out. The others are too harsh and uninviting.

I’m in the “top one” camp. It’s an amazing design, whichever one you go with!

O, I like the first and the third…but I think #1 is the coolest. I like the starkness of the body/diagram against the white.

I’m torn between the 3rd–the yellow is awesome–and the first–much starker graphics.

Thanks all! Wow, you mostly had responses I did not expect. However, the people have spoken! I’ll tally up votes and let you know the winner.

I tend to jump at anything yellow….however, Red Orange 2 is a little classier. To my indecisive eye, the first, Red Orange # 1, is a bit anemic. Re my incipient website, “Brown Dog’s Poets & Readers, it is, well — incipient. I’m having a little trouble getting it out there. But I’m surrounded by techies, so it should be running soon. THANK YOU for publishing 32 POEMS. The best of luck to you. ljb
