The Atlantic Monthly’s Editorial Internship offers college juniors and seniors as well as recent college graduates of all ages a unique opportunity to be involved in many aspects of an award-winning national magazine’s editorial procedures.
Other responsibilities and activities include:
• Help with the review of thousands of unsolicited submissions the magazine receives each year
• Assist with fact-checking for the magazine and research for the magazine website
• Participate in informational seminars with editors, writers, and members of the production and art department geared towards all Atlantic Monthly interns
Three internship sessions are available: Fall (September through December), Spring (January through May), and Summer (June through August), with up to four interns per session. We are currently accepting applications for our spring internship. Please submit applications no later than October 15, 2007.
Interns are paid at a rate of $10 per hour. Although we are flexible regarding school and other part-time work requirements, candidates must be able to commit 24-40 hours/week on a consistent schedule. College credit will be awarded if applicable.
