Night: A Fragment

I almost thought I’d not get my poem written for today. Technically, I did not since I wrote it at 1 a.m. The tot did not go to sleep until 10 p.m., and I had dishes to prepare for a tea I’m hosting for some Mama Friends. My house is very small, so I plan to host a series of teas over the next year. Eventually, I’ll get around to everyone.

By the way, I am pleased with the NaPoWriMo experiment. The ideas keep flowing, and I love it. Several of these poems will be keepers.

We’ll take a trip around the world with the tea menu, which is all made by yours truly:

Gingered sweet potato balls (Antigua);
Pate (Finland);
Pureed White Bean Dip drizzled with a paprika-olive oil mixture and capers (I forget which country);
Strawberries;
Vegetable Pancakes (China).
