I’m exhausted. Our neighbor’s car alarm goes off in the middle of the night. Finally, we asked him to turn it off. He would not come down to do it becuase he was ‘sick’ and his wife said she could not turn off the car alarm because she can’t drive — huh? — so we had to say we’d call our city’s finest. Suddenly, the owner of the car recovered enough from his ‘sickness’ to come down and turn it off. He was not pleased but then neither were we after being woken at 3 a.m., 5 a.m. and 11 p.m. And, no, no one was trying to steal his car any of those times.
