Submissions

by 32poems on December 1, 2006

I’ve been busy getting all of the 32s out and getting renewals sent. It’d be so cool if people would cosmically know when they should renew. Ah, dreams. Now to the task of reading through the submissions and getting the spring 2007 issue ready for the designer. People told me I should make 32 a quarterly. I am so happy I didn’t listen to that advice.

My studio space is not where I want it, and that makes it difficult for my mind to settle. First, I am dealing with mounds of paper and clutter. I’ve thrown out loads of junk. When I opened my top desk drawer, the emptiness of it shocked me.

Despite the chaotic feeling, I am working on two poems. I read it the other night. Reading a new poem at a public reading is risky, and I wanted to do that. I could hear some of what needed to be edited. I recommend reading something new at your next reading if you don’t do that already.

What else? This is the day to catch up with friends. I’ve been out of touch with several people and want to get back into contact. Also, loads of other little things need to be done like getting the fence fixed from when the tree hit it way back in July. I want to get the little annoying things done so I can focus on what I really want to do!
