I had just told Stuart Greenhouse that I wouldn’t want a home birth because of all the preparation. Well, Olive Cameron Ager Beverly arrived in a blaze of glory as I stood in the front hallway of my home. She was caught by her father.
Our home looked like a murder scene for the last three days until we could get home and clean it up. I’m taking time off this blog and 32 Poems to recover…

Wow! That is an incredibly beautiful baby — not just saying that. (Look at that hair!) And, I know what it’s like to have a beautiful baby, people were constantly stopping me in the street after my son was born to remark over him.
Congratulations!
Yea! Homebirth. Good. You must have felt relaxed & happy: home.
Maybe you’ll want to join our Po’ Po’Mo’ Mommy group blog. I plan to start one up. I was going to do it thursday, first day of school (YEA!!) but I got too busy enjoying the time to write — and the quiet! But, in all honesty, at almost 11, he’s a great son for a writer to have; he’s great when I’m actually working.
Enjoy! They come with instructions in the box.

What a joyful time! Once you clean up the hallway like a murder scene, you can start turning your living room into a bright plastic train wreck (if you’re anything like we were…).
