i wish i had been able to be one of the recipients of your book, but i am more than a year later. i too write poetry, and love reading the works of others.
i had two of my books published last year and am a member of a poetry site called dark poetry where i now post my latest works.

Well, the more poetry, the more distracting, hilarious, elegant, illuminating ,evocative,hope-tinged
well versed communications available to us,the better!
I’m hip deep in the Sorrows: war, unemployment,tsunami deaths,hate speech,
and radiations fears….fears for Japan entire. Up with books, and poetry, and gifts of spirit.
We don’t need a Happy News newspaper…..We do need something substantive to read and share.I just finished spreading 5 of the six copies of POETRY magazine I was sent
for April all around, to
places in my city that one would least expect to find such fare.
My dentist, the shoe repair shop, the
local Worksource(unemployed Hopeland) and other such sites now have April’s edition of POETRY, instead of old editions of dated tabloids, crinkled remains of USA TODAY and
flyers for -things- not – needed.My beloved friend and mentor, Bill Stafford wrote in:

“For My Young Friends Who Are Afraid”

“what you fear will not go away;it will take you into yourself and bless you and keep you.That’s the world,and we all live there.”

Hi. I love this idea and I think it is most generous of you. I want to thank you for all the attention you gave my manuscript as part of your workshops which I want everyone to be aware of and to sign up for! If I “win”, I would love to read the books of course and then put them into circulation for many to read either at my college (Gordon) or in the state’s libray system for all to love and read and cherish.
