Submission Guidelines

Please carefully read the 32 Poems submission guidelines below.

Send three to five poems and a cover letter in an attachment emailed to submissions@32poems.com. We prefer to receive .doc, .docx, or .pdf files and may not be able to read other formats. Simultaneous submissions are accepted, but we respond quickly, usually within a month, and request that our submitters take that response time into account when preparing other submissions. Please notify us immediately if your poems are accepted elsewhere. If after three months you have not received our reply, feel free to query the status of your submission.

As a rule we publish shorter lyric poems that fit on a single page (under 32 lines), but we occasionally make exceptions to fit other extraordinary work. We do not accept translations or work that has been previously published, in print or online.

1. We read poems between September 1 and May 30 of each year.
2. Please submit poems of 32 lines or fewer.
3. Include a brief bio with your submission.
4. Simultaneous submissions are accepted.
5. Translations are not currently accepted.
6. Response time is 2-3 months.
